Sweet Jessica just doesn't know how much we bonded this weekend! She had me all in a tizzy trying to figure out how to get this stuff connected! I thought it turned out pretty good for someone who doesn't know what she's doing!

Mixed Media Collage Workshop

I love the Altered Muse's workshops! Carrie Gunning was the instructor for this one. She is so talented! Here's my creation! This one is a mixed media collage using acrylic paint, matt mod podge, wall paper, paper images, and finished it off with a gold wash.

Carrie helped with arranging and used cream acrylic paint around the edges of images and filled in other areas. Every workshop I think is the best ever! This is another best ever workshop!

Wire Wrap Workshop

Shirley was the instructor for the Wire Wrap workshop at The Altered Muse. Above is my creation of wire wrap! The stone was fused in a previous class by Shirley. I love it!

Bees Wax Collage Workshop

The Altered Muse held a Bees Wax Collage workshop given by Renea Hipp. Here's the canvas I created with Renea's help! In case you are wondering, TG stands for Traveling Gypsy!

It has a black background with collage images mod podged and brushed with a coat of bees wax on the top surface. The sides are painted black with red stripes. After you apply the bees wax, take a hot gun and melt the wax until smooth. Use a latex glove to buff the wax to make it shiny.

Creatively Inspired is the name of the cutest shop in Keller! Sandie, the owner, sells local artists' items...jewelry, paintings, clay pieces... I loved this store because everything is so unique! I don't think there's two of any one item. Her prices are great!
